Counselling for Carers
Carers
You may not think that the term “Carer” applies to you…that you are only doing what any spouse/partner/parent/relative would do. However, meeting the care needs of another person, can be both deeply meaningful and profoundly exhausting. The knock-on effect may leave you feeling:
- Emotionally overwhelmed or burnout
- Caught between advocating for your loved one and meeting your own needs
- Guilty for wanting space or boundaries
- Isolated, unseen or disconnected from your own identity
- Grieving a changing relationship with your loved one or the loss of the life you imagined
- Anxious about the future or struggling to cope with day-to-day tasks
My sessions combine warmth with practical and emotional insight; by offering support that is tailored to you as a whole person, we can tend to your needs and explore how to regain some balance.
